Strzyża (German Hochstrieß or Strieß , Kashubian Strzëżô ) is a district of Gdańsk ( Danzig ) in Poland , this covers an area of 1.1 km² and has 5759 inhabitants with a population density of 5300 inhabitants / km². In 1902 the place of residence was administratively assigned to the city of Danzig.

The district is located in the west of the city and borders on the districts of Zaspa-Młyniec , Wrzeszcz Górny , VII Dwór and Oliwa . Legstrieß - meaning Niederstrieß - has belonged to Langfuhr (Wrzeszcz) since 1814.
traffic
Strzyża is located on the most important traffic axis between the city center and the western districts, as well as the city of Sopot , this applies to both road traffic and tram and bus connections . The largest tram depot in Gdansk is located in the district. Since 2016 it is possible to turn loop in the S-Bahn (PKM) to Gdansk airport or Wrzeszcz change. There is access to all long-distance trains.
