Aniołki (German Aller Engel , Kashubian Janiółczi ) is a district of Gdańsk ( Danzig ) in Poland , this covers an area of 2.3 km² and has 4922 inhabitants with a population density of 2133 inhabitants / km². The area formerly belonged to Langfuhr and Zigankenberg and came administratively to the city of Danzig in 1814 and 1877.
history
The Evangelical Church of All Gods Angels or St. Michael (Polish: św. Michała i Wszystkich Aniolów Bożych ) had been located on the road to Langfuhr since 1340 , which burned down in 1807, was not rebuilt, but gave its name to today's Gdansk district.
In 1870, the terminus of the railway line to Stettin was located at Olivaer Tor. After the demolition of the ramparts, a through station was converted into a freight station after the main station was built.
geography
The north of the district is dominated by the villas on Aleja Zwycięstwa ( Great Avenue ), the south by apartment blocks and arbor colonies . In 1995 the new district of Osiedle Kolonia Jordana was created.
In the area of Aniołki there are the elevations: Szubieniczna Góra ( Gallows Hill , 55 m) and Wronia Górka ( Crow Hill , 55 m).

- Eight former denominational cemeteries on Große Allee now have memorial stones and have mostly been converted into parks.

The Aleja Zwycięstwa is the most important traffic axis between the city center and the western districts of Gdansk, this applies to both road traffic and tram and bus connections .
On the northern border of the district, the railway station is S-Bahn Gdańsk Stocznia ( shipyard ).
