Wzgórze Mickiewicza (translated Mickiewicz Hill , German Neuwonneberg , Kashubian Nowé Ùjéscëskò ) is the smallest district of Gdańsk ( Danzig ) in Poland , this covers an area of 0.53 km² and has 2570 inhabitants with a population density of 4870 inhabitants / km². In 1954 the area was administratively part of the city of Gdansk.
geography
The district is located to the west of the city center and borders the Siedlce , Ujeścisko-Łostowice and Chełm districts . It consists of 800 single-family, semi-detached and terraced houses. Only a small part of the area remained undeveloped.
history
Neuwonneberg emerged as a settlement between the world wars. After the war, the settlement was expanded and modernized. A large number of other buildings were built in the 1980s. The street names come from characters in the works of Adam Mickiewicz .
