VII Dwór (spoken Siódmy Dwór , German Pelonker 7. Hof ) is a district of Gdańsk (Danzig) in Poland , this covers an area of 3 km² and has 3820 inhabitants with a population density of 1268 inhabitants / km². In 1902 the area was administratively part of the city of Danzig.
history
The 7th farm in Pelonken was named after the seventh of 7 former patrician estates . It used to belong to Hochstrieß and was incorporated into Danzig in 1902. In 1905 there are 26 residents. - Today, however, the former Weißes Lamm inn in Oliva is also known as VIII Dwór, it is a building from the 19th century.
The 7th farm was mentioned in a document in 1632, after one of the owners it was also called the Clemenshof . The mansion of the 6th courtyard burned down in the 1840s, only a rococo portal remained. In 1807 Napoleon Bonaparte is said to have stayed on both courts.
During the Second World War , the Stalag XX B / Z Danzig-Oliva for mostly Soviet prisoners of war was located in the area of what is today the city district. The mansion of the 7th courtyard was burned down in 1945 by soldiers of the Red Army .
1959-1967 the new district Osiedla Młodych was created.
geography
The district lies on the edge of the Lasy Oliwskie (Oliva Forest) and is characterized by low blocks of flats and single-family houses.

- 7 Szpital Marynarki Wojennej (7th Naval Hospital). A brick building was designed as a forest sanatorium by Fritz Höger in 1931 . The other buildings date from the post-war era of socialist realism .
- Dolina Samborowo (Henrietta Valley ) , part of the Tricity Landscape Park.
