Göran Färm (born October 17, 1949 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish politician of the SAP .

After graduating from high school, Färm studied at the College of Journalism in Stockholm and worked as a journalist for several daily newspapers from 1970 to 1973. He was then editor-in-chief of the newspaper of the Swedish Young Socialists until 1976, then department head of an advertising agency and held several positions at the trade union federation. From 1987 to 1988 he worked as information director at a housing construction organization and as editor-in-chief at Örebro -courier, after which he founded a company in which he worked as a management consultant for several years.

Politically, Färm initially worked for the Young Socialists, where he was a member of the executive committee and was deputy chairman of the International Union of Young Socialists. From 1991 to 1994 he was chairman of the Social Democrats in Norrköping and was a member of the executive committee of SAP in Östergötland County . In Norrköping he was a full-time local councilor and was a member of the local council, he was also a council member of the Östsam regional association and chaired the international committee of the Östsam regional association. In 1999 he was elected to the European Parliament for the first time , to which he is still a member, with an interruption from 2004 to 2007.
