Göri Klainguti

Göri Klainguti (born August 1, 1945 in Pontresina ) is a writer in the Upper Engadin who writes and publishes in the Rhaeto-Romanic idiom Puter . He is considered to be one of the most important Engadine Romance writers today.

Life

Klainguti completed high school at the Academia Engiadina in Samedan and at the Evangelical Middle School in Schiers . He obtained the secondary teacher patent at the University of Zurich . After years of teaching in Samedan, he devoted himself entirely to writing and painting. Regardless of his originality, Klainguti orients himself in his literary works on the Upper Engadine heritage. a. to Giovannes Mathis . He is also co-editor of Chalender Ladin .

In addition to his artistic activities, he runs a farm.

Klainguti is politically active in the Glista libra (= "Free List") of the Upper Engadine and belongs to its parliamentary group in the Upper Engadine District Council .

Private

Klainguti is married and has two grown daughters.

Awards

In 2005, Klainguti received the Swiss Schiller Foundation's total works award .
