The Gössnitzkopf bivouac is a bivouac box in the Schober group on the border between East Tyrol and Carinthia . It is located at an altitude of 2790  m above sea level. A. , about 250 m northwest of the Gössnitzscharte ( 2732  m above sea level ) on the Elberfelder Weg, the connecting path (path no.915) between Lienzer Hütte and Elberfelder Hütte , as well as southeast of the Gössnitzkopf ( 3096  m above sea level ).

The bivouac box was built by the high tourist group of the OeAV Lienz in September 1977 and offers space for 10 people to stay overnight.
