Gözde Kırdar Sonsırma (born June 26, 1985 in Kütahya ) is a Turkish volleyball player .

Career

Kırdar played for Vakıfbank Istanbul from 1999 to 2018 . During this time she won the Turkish Championship six times, the Cup three times, the Champions League four times and the Club World Championship twice .

From 2003 to 2017 Kırdar was also active for the Turkish national team . The highlights of her career were her participation in the 2012 Olympics in London (sixth place) and two third places at the European Championships ( 2011 and 2017 ).

Kırdar has been honored several times as “Most Valuable Player” ( MVP ), “Best Attacker” and “Best Defender”.

Private

Kirdar has been married to her former strength and conditioning trainer, the Italian Alessandro Bracceschi , since 2017 and has a daughter since 2019. Her twin sister Özge Kırdar is also a national volleyball player.
