VakıfBank Spor Kulübü

VakıfBank Spor Kulübü or VakıfBank SK is a Turkish volleyball club that has been among the top Europeans since the late 1990s.

The current team consists of the two formerly separate teams: Vakıfbank and Güneş Sigorta. Vakıfbank originally played in Ankara , while Güneş Sigorta was from Istanbul.

Güneş Sigorta is a Turkish insurance company, which is partly owned by Vakıfbank , one of the largest Turkish banks.

The Vakıfbank Günes Sigorta women's volleyball team reached the Final Four of the European Champions League six times , finishing second in 1998, 1999 and 2014 and even first in 2011 and 2013 . In addition, he won the Challenge Cup in 2008 , the Top Teams Cup in 2004 and a third place in the CEV Cup in 2000 . In the 2012/13 season, Istanbul won the Turkish Cup, Champions League and Turkish Championship unbeaten after 47 wins in a row .

Vakıfbank Güneş Sigorta plays its home games in the Haldun Alagas Sports Hall in Istanbul .
