Güllü has been a municipality in the Eşme district of the Turkish province of Uşak since 1992 .

The village is divided into two parts by the main road. The southern side is the Karakuyu Mahallesi and the northern side is the Taş Mahallesi.

Güllü has a total of 1079 inhabitants (2008). The decrease in the population between 1990 and 2000 is due to the fact that the population emigrated to the nearby large cities (Uşak, Izmir, Denizli etc.).

Güllü is about 30 km from Eşme and 55 km from the provincial capital Uşak.

Most of the roads in Güllü have been paved in recent years. Güllü is located on the busy Izmir - Ankara and Uşak - Denizli roads.

economy

The water supply has improved a lot in recent years because the water channels have also been completely renewed. The village gets its water from a small lake. At the beginning of 2006, the construction of a wine factory began.

Tobacco is mainly grown in Güllü. In addition to tobacco, there are also chickpea and grape fields. Livestock is also an important part of the village's economy.

politics

The mayor of Güllü is Muzaffer Kücükarslan from the AKP . He won the 2004 election with 373 votes (41%). The Muhtars are Kazim Kücükkaya and Sezgin Benli.

Attractions

In the center of the village is the Ataturk Park with a 3 m high Ataturk statue. The village is home to two mosques. The second was built recently and is only used on religious holidays. Güllü is also famous for its casino.
