Günter Bock (politician)

Günter Bock (born February 28, 1938 in Berlin ; † June 10, 2007 there ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and from 1981 to 1995 long-time State Secretary in the Berlin Senate, with responsibilities mostly in the sports and school sector.

biography

From 1981 to 1985 Bock served as State Secretary for the Senator for Education, Youth and Sport, Hanna-Renate Laurien , from 1985 to 1989 for the Senator for Youth and Family, Cornelia Schmalz-Jacobsen , and finally from 1991 to 1995 for the Senator for School, vocational training and sport, Jürgen Klemann .

Party and politics

Günter Bock has been a member of the CDU since 1960. From 1971 to 1975 he held a mandate in the district assembly in the Schöneberg district , from 1972 as deputy parliamentary group leader. In 1975 he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives, to which he belonged until 1981. The focus of his work was on youth and sport.
