Günter Engelhardt

Günter Engelhardt (born July 30, 1934 in Uslar / Solling; † February 14, 2010 in Braunschweig ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Engelhardt first attended elementary school in Darmstadt and later switched to grammar schools in Darmstadt and Braunschweig . He completed his school education with a one-year certificate. Between 1953 and 1955 he completed a commercial apprenticeship and then began a traineeship in Hamburg . He did his military service from 1957 to 1963. He then took up a job in the industrial field service. In 1971 he took a job in an industrial company in Salzgitter. Engelhardt was a member of IG Metall .

Engelhardt became a member of the SPD in 1968. In the ninth and tenth electoral terms (from June 21, 1978 to June 20, 1986) he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .
