Günter Hörnlein
Günter Hörnlein (born November 1928 in the Black Forest ) is a lawyer and former mayor of the cities of Mölln and Itzehoe .
Life
Hörnlein grew up in Kiel and also studied law there. He was already mayor of Mölln (1962–1967) when he was elected mayor by the city council of Itzehoe in October 1966; he took up this position on January 1, 1967. He held the office until Harald Brommer was elected as the new Mayor of Itzehoes on November 15, 1990 , who took over the office on January 2, 1991.
On December 5, 2003, International Volunteer Day , Prime Minister Heide Simonis awarded him the Schleswig-Holstein State Badge of Honor .

Hörnlein married around 1953 and has a son and two grandchildren.
