Günter Wiswede
Günter Wiswede (born June 6, 1938 ) is a German sociologist and social psychologist .
Wiswede is a professor emeritus at the University of Cologne . He completed his habilitation in 1972 at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in the subject of sociology under Karl Gustav Specht and has been Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Cologne since 1974. His sociology of deviant behavior was the standard work in the German-speaking world until the 1980s . In it, he expresses considerable reservations about the labeling approach in criminal sociology .
