Günter Wohlgemuth (born December 28, 1938 ) is a former German football player who played 43 games with 17 goals in the Oberliga West from 1959 to 1962 as a player for Preußen Münster .

career

As a player from ETuS Gelsenkirchen-Bismarck and a member of the Westphalia association in the national cup of amateurs, Günter Wohlgemuth was nominated by the DFB for the international game of the amateur national team on October 12, 1957 in Ilford against England. The German national soccer team of the amateurs won the game with 3-2 goals and Wohlgemuth scored a goal as the left winger. The attack of the DFB team acted in the formation with Rudolf Kraft , Peter Grosser , Klaus Matischak , Günter Herrmann and Wohlgemuth.

From the round 1959/60 the man from Gelsenkirchen played in the Oberliga West at Preußen Münster. Coach Kuno Klötzer helped Wohlgemuth make his debut in the league on the second match day, August 30, 1959. In the 2: 4 defeat at VfL Bochum, he was on the half-left and played a total of 15 games with three goals in this round. Under coach Richard Schneider , Wohlgemuth came in his third season in Münster to 20 missions with eleven goals and the Prussians took seventh place in the west in the 1961/62 round. In addition to Hermann Lulka and Manfred Pohlschmidt, both of whom had 13 goals each, he was third in the internal goalscorer list. Günter Wohlgemuth played the last league game on February 3, 1962 when Münster won the home game against Duisburg SpV with 2-0 goals .

After a long injury, he retired from professional football.
