Günter Wolff (politician)

Günter Wolff (born July 5, 1919 in Brieg , Silesia , today Brzeg , Poland , † March 15, 2006 in Landshut ) was a German SPD politician .

Wolff attended elementary, advanced and trade school and trained as an electrical engineer. In 1937 he joined the Air Force, where he worked as an aircraft electrician, pilot, blind flight instructor and, during the Second World War, as a transport pilot . After he was released from captivity, his family was expelled from Silesia and found a new place to stay in Landshut. From 1949 he was the owner of an installation company. In 1951 he was elected chairman of the sub-district of the SPD in Landshut, he was also a member of the city council and the church council. From 1954 to 1966 he held a mandate in the Bavarian state parliament , into which he was always elected via the constituency list of the SPD in Lower Bavaria .
