Günther Lindenstruth

Günther Lindenstruth (* 1944 ) is a former German basketball player and coach.

career

Lindenstruth played from 1971 to 1973 and 1978 for MTV 1846 Giessen in the basketball league . In 1973 the 1.82 meter tall player won the DBB Cup with Central Hessen . In 1978 he also won the German basketball championship at MTV. In 1984 he took over the post of head coach at MTV and stayed in office until 1987. In his last season, 1986/87, he led the team to the semi-finals of the Bundesliga championship round and the final of the DBB Cup. In later years he coached the regional league team VfB 1900 Gießen in a team with Hans Georg Heß, just like at MTV .
