Günther Rubenbauer
Günther Rubenbauer (born December 7, 1940 in Nuremberg ) is a former German football player . The outside runner and half- forward played for 1. FC Nürnberg . In 1956 and 1958 he was with the 1. FCN Bavarian youth champion and in 1958 also South German youth champion. From 1997 to 2004 he was director of SG Quelle Fürth .
Career
As a player
In 1949 he joined 1. FC Nürnberg and played in the B youth team from the age of 15 . As the captain of coach Jakob Streitle's youth team in southern Germany , he won the DFB's national youth cup in 1957.
Together with Adolf Ruff , Gustav Flachenecker and Tasso Wild , he was accepted as a contract player at 1. FC Nürnberg in 1959. After completing four games in the southern football league , he moved to league rivals SpVgg Fürth in 1961 . After only one year and four other league games, he returned to 1. FC Nürnberg, where he was used in the league reserve and amateur team until 1968.
As a trainer
Rubenbauer then worked from 1969 to 1983 as a player-coach for several clubs in Central Franconia, including 1. FC Röthenbach / Pegnitz, ASV Buchenbühl and TV 1860 Schweinau. From 2004 to 2007 he was the coach of the 1st team at SV Laufamholz, before taking over the training of the 2nd team from 2008 to 2011. In 1997 he became a member of the board of SG Quelle Fürth , which had just been relegated from the South Regional Football League .
Private
Rubenbauer is a member of the senior tennis team of SV Laufamholz. He and his wife have two sons.
