career

1. FC Nuremberg

The technically inclined, mostly half-left acting offensive player Tasso Wild made his debut in the 1959/60 round on the 18th matchday in the football Oberliga Süd . The "Club" decided the away game at FC Bayern Hof with 4-1 goals and the talent introduced itself to Gustav Flachenecker and Heinz Strehl with two goals. He belonged to the championship teams in 1961 and 1962 and to the vice-championship team in the south in 1963 . He completed 74 games in the league from 1959 to 1963, scoring 37 goals.

Wild achieved his greatest successes before the Bundesliga was founded . In 1961 he became German champions with the Club . In the final on June 24 in Hanover against Borussia Dortmund (3: 0), however, he was unable to take part due to an injury from the group game on June 14 against 1. FC Cologne (2: 1). In the following year, he met in the DFB Cup final in extra time to make the final 2-1 against Fortuna Düsseldorf . In the Bundesliga, Wild made his debut on the fifth match day in 1963/64 in a 5-3 away win against 1. FC Saarbrücken. He scored for the team of coach Herbert Widmayer in the attack formation with Kurt Dachlauer , Max Morlock , Heinz Strehl and Heinrich Müller the 1: 2 connection goal. In the finals of the German soccer championship, Wild scored six goals in eight games from 1961 to 1963.

Andreas Weiß, club youth leader from 1949 to 1970, describes the transition from Wild from Fürth to the “club” at the end of 1957 with the following words: “At Tasso Wild it wasn't easy either [the change]. The father had a bakery behind the castle and had been a club member for years. His son Tasso played for Tuspo Nürnberg. Father Wild knew Bumbes Schmidt , and when the trainer became a trainer in Fürth, he sent his Tasso to an apprenticeship with Bumbes. After a year, Bumbes turned his back on the gaming association and said to me. 'Now you can have the tasso.' Bumbes promised to clear everything up with Tasso's father. I remember exactly that it was New Year's Eve 1957 when I went to the Wild bakery. Father Wild greeted me at the door with a strange expression on his face, a mixture between sad and embarrassing. Finally he came out with the language: 'The Fürth people got me around, the Tasso stays in Fürth.' A short time later, Bumbes Schmidt entered the shop. When he heard the facts, he got angry: 'What, you coward let the Fürthers beat you up? The Tasso comes to the club immediately. ' Meanwhile, Tasso had also appeared in the store. 'Tasso, you know how to type, right?' Asked Bumbes to the young Wild. He said yes. 'So', Bumbes added, 'sit down, put a piece of paper in and write': I hereby declare that I will be leaving the SpVgg Fürth on December 31, 1957 and ask that you send me my passport immediately. ' Then Bumbes took the sheet of paper, folded it up, put it in an envelope, got Father Wild to give him a stamp, and sent the tasso off to the mailbox. That's how Tasso Wild ended up with us. "

In the European Cup games with 1. FC Nürnberg, the 1961/62 games at the national champions against Benfica Lisbon stood out, despite the clear 0: 6 defeat in the second leg on February 22, 1962 in Lisbon and the two games in the semi-finals in 1962/63 Cup winner competition against defending champion Atlético Madrid . In the first leg in Nuremberg, Wild had scored both goals to a 2-1 home win against Atletico coach José Villalonga's team. The second leg was lost 2-0 against the team around goalkeeper Edgardo Madinabeytia , Feliciano Rivilla , Jorge Griffa , Adelardo and Enrique Collar .

Wild repeatedly had problems with his coaches. Max Merkel fined him 1,500 marks for being seen in a bar after midnight. In 1967, after 79 Bundesliga appearances with 18 goals for the Franks, he finally moved to Hertha BSC.

Hertha BSC

With the capital city, he rose straight away from the Regionalliga Berlin to the 1st Bundesliga. Wild & Co had won the championship with 55: 5 points and 104:11 goals ahead of Tennis Borussia Berlin. In the BL promotion round, the Berlin champion prevailed with 11: 5 points against 9: 7 from the toughest rival Rot-Weiss Essen. In the four home games, 298,000 spectators found their way to the Olympic Stadium. Wild played in all eight games of the promotion round for Hertha. In the decisive game on June 12 against RW Essen (2-0) - with Fred-Werner Bockholt , Heinz Stauvermann , Werner Kik , Herbert Weinberg , Helmut Littek , Willi Lippens - Wild scored the 1-0 lead in front of 85,000 spectators. Participants in the rise were players such as goalkeeper Volkmar Groß , Lothar Groß , Uwe Witt , Werner Ipta , Rudolf Kröner , Dieter Krafczyk , Hans-Joachim Altendorff and Hans Eder under coach Helmut Kronsbein .

From 1968 to 1971, another 88 Bundesliga games were added for Hertha BSC. The only seven goals left were due to his move to the defense. In the rounds of 1969/70 and 1970/71 Wild reached 3rd place in the Bundesliga with Hertha. In total, Wild has also made 22 appearances with six hits in the European Cup.

Tasso Wild was later suspended in the course of the Bundesliga scandal from July 24, 1971 to June 30, 1975. He was pardoned again on November 26, 1973.

In the 1990s he was Vice President of 1. FC Nürnberg. He had returned to his hometown Nuremberg, where he worked as the manager of a large bakery.
