Hermann Lindner (born January 16, 1953 ) is a former German soccer player .

career

In 1972, Lindner moved from the amateur team of TSV 1860 Munich to VfB Stuttgart . On November 25, 1972, he made his debut on the 15th matchday of the 1972/73 season in the 6-2 home win of VfB against FC Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga . In his second league game for Stuttgart, Lindner scored his first Bundesliga goal on matchday 17 against Borussia Mönchengladbach . After a total of seven Bundesliga games for VfB Stuttgart, in which it remained with this one goal, he moved to Rot-Weiss Essen for the 1974/75 season . For Essen he scored a goal in a total of 40 Bundesliga games. When RWE advanced to the semi-finals of the DFB Cup in the 1974/75 season (1: 3 n. V. at the later title holder Eintracht Frankfurt ), Lindner secured the top scorer's crown with 6 goals . After graduating from August 14, 1976 Rot-Weiss Essen his last Bundesliga game, Lindner closed for the remainder of 1976/77 that in the pre-season in the 2.
