Gürsel Yaprakcı (born February 5, 1991 in Konya ; † May 31, 2011 ibid) was a Turkish football goalkeeper .
Career
Yaprakcı began club football in the youth of Konya Demirspor and moved to the youth of Konya Şekerspor in 2005 with a professional contract . Here he played for three years exclusively for the youth and reserve team. In 2008 he was accepted into the professional squad. In the first two seasons he played at times as first goalkeeper, but lost this regular place during the season. It was not until the 2010/11 season that he managed to establish himself as a regular goalkeeper.
death
On May 31, 2011, Yaprakcı got into a dispute over debt settlement. During the argument, he was shot together with his friend Ahmet Marancı. While Yaprakcı died on site as a result of the gunshot wound, Marancı succumbed to his injuries a little later in hospital.
