The PC Zone was a British computer game magazine.

history

First published in April 1993, PC Zone was the first print magazine in Great Britain to specialize exclusively in PC games and was published by Dennis Publishing . Over the years it was mainly in competition with PC Gamer from Future plc , but in the end it has always remained below the sales figures of its competitor. In 2004, Future took over the PC Zone from Dennis Publishing together with Computer and Video Games for £ 2.5 million. Future continued to operate the magazine until 2010, but the discontinuation was announced in July 2010. The last magazine appeared on September 2, 2010.

Over the years, the magazine's authors included the future computer game writer Rhianna Pratchett , daughter of the fantasy author Terry Pratchett .
