Güzelyalı is a district (tr: Mahalle ) in the Pendik district of the Turkish province of Istanbul . The community was founded in 1960. The place got the name Güzelyalı from the many summer villas and residences (tr: Yalı ) directly on the Bosporus . Güzel means "beautiful".
