The GAMO Fahrzeugwerke GmbH is a German manufacturer of mobile shop and mobile bathrooms . The company has two locations in Ravensburg and Altenburg . The company also has sales partners in Austria (HUMER - trailer, low loader, sales vehicles - GmbH), Switzerland (Tartaruga AG), the Netherlands (GEDION trailer wagons) and France (Loc et Manut SARL).

history

GAMO Fahrzeugwerke GmbH was founded in 1975 in Tettnang on Lake Constance . The aim of the company was to equip functional food trucks and sales stands with high-performance catering equipment. This combination resulted in the name GAMO for the company, which is made up of the two words GAstro and MObile.

In 1980 a new facility was opened in Oberteuringen on Lake Constance, which was expanded in 1983.

In September 1990, another production company was founded in Altenburg / Thuringia.

The continuous expansion required the purchase of a new plant in Ravensburg in 1995 with approx. 5000 m² of hall space on over 13,000 m² of land, so that the too small halls in Oberteuringen had had their day.

The succession concept introduced in 2013 was completed in 2014.
