GEDOK Literature Prize

The GEDOK Literature Prize has been awarded every three years since 1971 to a German-speaking author who is not yet nationally known by the Federal Association GEDOK (Association of the Communities of Artists and Art Supporters eV).

history

Hilde Domin (1909–2006), Ida Dehmel Prize laureate 1968 and honorary member of GEDOK, suggested this support for talented women authors in 1971. The prize is awarded for poetry, prose or drama and is currently endowed with 5000 euros. The proposed authors do not have to be GEDOK members.

The GEDOK Literature Prize is awarded to a German-speaking author who is not yet known nationwide; the Ida Dehmel Literature Prize, currently endowed with 10,000 euros, every three years for the complete works of a German-speaking author.
