Barbara Schibli

Barbara Schibli (born 1975 in Baden ) is a Swiss writer and high school teacher.

Life

Schibli was born in Baden in 1975 and grew up in Aargau . She studied German , Italian literature and journalism . Since 2000 she has been working as a high school teacher in Baden, where she teaches literary writing. Schibli lives in Zurich .

Awards

  • 2015: Scholarship from the Lydia Eymann Foundation
  • 2016: Studer / Ganz Prize for her manuscript "Lichen"
  • 2017: GEDOK Literature Prize for "Lichen"
  • 2018: Contribution to work from the Culture Department of the Canton of Zurich for her second novel
  • 2018: Jury Prize of the Swiss Radio and Culture Foundation SRKS at the sonOhr Festival for the short radio play "Marderschreck"
