GFA League Second Division 1997/98

The 1997/1998 season of the GFA League Second Division , the second highest division in Gambian football, ended in 1998.

Ten teams played for the title in a round-trip round , so that 18 games were scheduled for each team. The two teams Augustians Bathurst and Armed Forces Football Club were relegated from the GFA League First Division and joined the league. The two teams Gamtel Football Club and Old Jeshwang have been promoted from the GFA League Third Division .

At the end of the season, the bottom two Dabanani and Fankata had to relegate to the third division. The two leading teams in the table, Armed Forces Football Club and Sukuta Tigers, were promoted to the First Division .

A final table is not used.
