The television program was GIGA 2's main service and was broadcast via IPTV. GIGA 2 reported almost exclusively on e-sports. While repetitions were essentially broadcast during the day, there was new content in the evening hours. These consisted of different formats, for example for different types of games or games or with a different spectrum, for example talk or news programs. These were later also available as video-on-demand .

The moderators included Nik Adams, Jan Dominicus, Mark Hoffmann, Dennis Gehlen, Christian Wopen and David Stephan.

GIGA.Listen

From January 25, 2007, the Internet radio station GIGA . was broadcasting lists of special esports events. The audio stream could be received by anyone free of charge; registration was not necessary.

registration

Initially there were two types of user accounts, one of which required an additional amount of money to be paid to use the stream. Later this separation was abolished and the prices were drastically reduced. In March 2007, the pure GIGA 2 user account was transformed into the so-called “GIGA Premium” account . With this, some additional functions could be used on the GIGA website from now on.

To register, you had to be at least twelve years old, but then you could not view any content approved from 16 years of age. The age restriction was introduced in order to be able to show games that are classified by the USK from 16 onwards before 10 p.m.

With the resolution of GIGA 2, users could choose whether they would like to continue to be a “GIGA Premium” member or switch to ESL TV . It was also possible to transfer remaining credit in the virtual currency "G" there.
