The GT-T is a Soviet extremely off-road and buoyant transport vehicle. It was developed to transport people and material in the rough, snow-covered or swampy terrain of the far north and Siberia . It is designed for extreme temperatures from −45 ° C to +45 ° C.
Production began in 1962. The production rate increased from 10 pieces per month to 110 to 120 pieces per month from 1966 onwards. It was widely used in the Red Army .
