Gabe Owen (born September 30, 1977 ) is an American pool player . He won the US Open in 2004 .

Career

At the One Pocket US Open 1999 Owen was ninth, at the Music City Open 2000 he lost in the final against Johnny Archer .

In 2003 he was thirteenth in the bank pool at the Derby City Classic . He also finished second again at the Music City Open and won the Houston Open. In 2004 he was ninth in the bank pool competition of the Derby City Classic and tenth in the One Pocket. He won the US Open in the final against Thorsten Hohmann . In 2005 he was twelfth in one pocket and thirteenth in 9-ball at the Derby City Classic and won the US Bar Table Championship. Then he was eliminated in the sixteenth finals of the 9-ball World Cup and finished in 33rd place at the US Open. At the Derby City Classic 2006 he was fifth in one pocket and tenth in 9-ball, and he finished third in the US Open. In 2007 he was fourth in the 9-ball tournament of the Derby City Classic and eighth in the bank pool. He also reached fifth place at the 10-Ball US Open and only lost to Tony Chohan in the final at the US Open One Pocket .

At the Derby City Classic 2008, Owen finished fourth in 9-ball, won the One Pocket tournament and came second at the Master of the table, behind the Filipino Francisco Bustamante . After he then finished ninth at the Predator International Championship , he was eliminated in the preliminary round of the 10-Ball World Cup . In 2009 Owen won the Music City Classic again and was ninth at the Philippines Open, 33rd at the China Open and 65th at the US Open.

In 2010 Owen finished seventeenth in the bank pool at the Derby City Classic and at the US Open. He also won the Houston Open 2010. At the Derby City Classic 2013, he finished 22nd in the One Pocket.

Owen once took part in the Mosconi Cup for the USA . In 2004 the team won 12: 9, with Owen winning his two singles games.
