Gabriel Edgardo Aguilera Peralta
Gabriel Edgardo Aguilera Peralta (born December 13, 1940 in Guatemala City ) is a Guatemalan diplomat .
Life
Gabriel Peralta studied law and social sciences in Guatemala as well as political sciences at the University of Freiburg .
From 1980 to 1882 he was director of the Central American Social Science Program of the Central American University Council CSUCA in Costa Rica . From 1986 to 1989 he worked with the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) in Costa Rica and 1989 to 1995 in Guatemala . He was a professor at San Carlos University and Rafael Landivar University in Guatemala.
Peralta was State Secretary in the Foreign Office of Guatemala from 1996 to 1999 and from 2002 to 2004. He then coordinated peace and security projects in Guatemala. From 2008 to 2010 he was the ambassador of the government of Guatemala in Germany and from 2010 to 2014 in Peru. He is currently ambassador to the Netherlands .
