Gabriel Johnson

Gabriel "Gabe" Johnson (* 1980 ) is an American jazz trumpeter and flugelhorn player who is also active in the fields of electronica and film music .

Johnson studied at the New England Conservatory in Boston ; then he was the musical director of the band Blood, Sweat & Tears and worked for Clint Eastwood . He can be heard as a soloist in the soundtrack of the films Changeling (2008) and Invictus (2009). At the end of the 2000s he began to occupy himself more with electronic music; In 2010 he released the album Fra-ctured (Electrofone Music). Johnson also worked on recordings of Steve Lockwood ( New Orleans Lowdown 2007), Carmen Rizzo ( Looking Through Leaves 2010) with; also on the soundtrack of the films August Rush (2007, director: Kirsten Sheridan ) and Calliope (director: Scott Patrick Stoddard ).
