Gabriel Markus (born March 31, 1970 in Buenos Aires ) is a former Argentine tennis player .

In 1985/1986 he ranked second in the junior rankings of his home country. In 1987 he reached the quarterfinals of the French Open for Juniors. In March of the following year he then turned professional. In 1992 he won the individual title at the tournament in Nice. On the way to overall victory, he eliminated Pete Sampras in the semi-finals and defeated the Spaniard Javier Sánchez in the final . In the same year he was able to book another tournament victory in the doubles competition in Maceio on the side of John Sobel . Markus achieved his highest career placement in the world tennis rankings on July 27, 1992 with the 36th place. In the double ranking he was listed on October 19, 1992 at rank 178. Markus was trained by the former Becker trainer Günther Bosch , among others .
