Gabriel Uñate is a retired Argentinian soccer player on the position of striker .

Life

Uñate began his career as a football player at CA San Lorenzo de Almagro , for whom he played 59 games between 1949 and 1952 and scored 21 goals.

Between 1954 and 1958 he played for the Mexican first division club Deportivo Toluca , with whom he was runner-up in the seasons 1956/57 and 1957/58. He then played for Club Morelia and then for Celaya FC , which he coached after the club's separation from his long-time coach Florencio Caffaratti in the last games of the 1960/61 season, but could not prevent relegation to the Segunda División .
