Gabriela König (born October 8, 1952 in Osnabrück ) is a German politician ( FDP ) and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . She is married and has two kids.

education and profession

After school, König trained as a draftsman and worked in an engineering office for civil engineering. After starting a family, she worked in her own company.

politics

König has been a member of the FDP since 1996 . She was deputy chairwoman of the Osnabrück-Stadt district association and a member of the state board of the FDP Lower Saxony , and she is a member of the board of the FDP district association Osnabrück. On November 9, 2005, she replaced the retired Carsten Lehmann in the Lower Saxony state parliament. There she was first a member of the petitions committee and transport and tourism policy spokeswoman for her group. After the state elections in 2008 , she became a member of the Committee on Economy, Labor and Transport and spokeswoman for her parliamentary group for economy, labor, transport and tourism. Since April 2011 she has been the state chairwoman of the Liberal Mittelstand Lower Saxony. In the state elections in 2017 , König did not run again.
