Gabriele Gunz

Gabriele Günz (née Niebling ; born September 8, 1961 in Eisenach ) is a former German high jumper who competed for the GDR .

Life

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships she won silver in Madrid in 1986 and was sixth in Budapest in 1988 .

In 1988 she was GDR champion, 1985 and 1987 runner-up. In the hall she won the GDR title in 1985, 1988 and 1989 and was runner-up in 1986.

Gabriele Günz started for the SC DHfK Leipzig . In the documents on state doping in the GDR that became public after the fall of the Wall , the name of Günz was also found among the doped athletes.
