Gabriele Juen

Gabriele Juen (born March 8, 1963 in Schruns , née Gabriele Wurzel ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Juen was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament from 2007 to 2009 . She lives in St. Gallenkirch , is widowed and the mother of two sons.

Juen is the daughter of the machinist Klaus Wurzel (1937–2009) and his wife Anneliese (* 1928), née Vergud. She attended secondary school in Gortipohl , a district of the Vorarlberg community of St. Gallenkirch , and the grammar school in Feldkirch , where she graduated in 1981, before learning to be a retail saleswoman. In 1983 she married Elmar Juen (1947–2008).

At the beginning of the 1990s, Juen became involved in community councils and subsequently also worked as the regional spokesperson for the Montafon women's network. After Adolf Concin's withdrawal , Juen was sworn in on April 11, 2007 as a member of the Bludenz electoral district in the 28th Vorarlberg state parliament . In this position she worked within the ÖVP state parliament club as the area spokesperson for voluntary work and associations, music schools and development cooperation.

In the state elections on September 20, 2009 , Gabriele Juen did not run again. With the inauguration of the members of the 29th legislative period on October 14, 2009, she left the state parliament.
