Gabriele Löschper

Gabriele Löschper (also Gabi Löschper , Gabriele Löschper-Lichtinghagen ; born December 19, 1954 in Lüdenscheid ) is a German psychologist and criminologist.

Löschper studied psychology at the University of Münster and graduated in 1978 with a diploma. In 1981 she did her doctorate there. The habilitation in the field of social psychology and criminology followed in 1997 at the University of Bremen . Since 2003 she has been a professor at the University of Hamburg.

From July 1, 2007, she was Vice President of the University of Hamburg for structural and personnel development of academic staff. After the resignation of President Monika Auweter-Kurtz , she headed the University of Hamburg on an interim basis from July 9, 2009 to April 30, 2010 as "Acting Deputy President". Löschper has been the dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences since May 1, 2010 .
