Gabriele Quandt

Gabriele Quandt , divisional Quandt-Langenscheidt (* 1952 ) is the chairwoman of the shareholders' meeting of Harald Quandt Holding.

Life

She is the daughter of the German industrialist Harald Quandt (1921–1967) and Inge Quandt , b. Bandekow (1928–1978. Her father was killed in a plane crash in 1967. Her grandmother Magda was married to industrialist Günther Quandt until 1929 and later married Joseph Goebbels . Gabriele Quandt has four sisters: Katarina Geller (* 1951), Anette May- Thies (* 1954), Colleen-Bettina Rosenblat-Mo (* 1962) and Patricia Halterman (1967-2005).

She studied sociology, psychology and education in Berlin and obtained an MBA in 1985 from the French business school INSEAD in Fontainebleau .

Between 1986 and 2008 she was married to Florian Langenscheidt , with whom she has sons Leonard and Raphael.

Activities as a functionary

Gabriele Quandt-Langenscheidt is the chairwoman of the shareholders' meeting of Harald Quandt Holding (HQH) in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe , which among other things manages at least 1.2 billion euros from Harald Quandt's heirs; other sources estimate the fortune at several billion euros.

Together with Florian Langenscheidt, Gabriele Quandt-Langenscheidt launched the Children for a better World initiative in 1994 , which promotes volunteer work by children and young people and awards initiatives every year. You belong to the board of the children's aid association.

In March 2014, Gabriele Quandt was elected chairman of the Association of Friends of the National Gallery .
