Gabriele Schaal

Gabriele Schaal (married Gabriele Müller ) (born August 17, 1944 ) is a former German basketball player .

Life

With the SC Chemie Halle she reached the final of the European Cup in 1969 , but there they lost to Riga. In the 1960s and 1970s she won several championships in the German Democratic Republic with Halle . With the GDR national team, Schaal won the bronze medal at the European Championship in Romania in 1966 , and came fourth at the 1967 World Championship in Prague . Schaal also took part in the European Championship tournaments in 1964, 1968 and 1972. She was nominated 107 times in total. From 1974 to 1977 she was the trainer of the female GDR youth national team.
