Since 2004/05

The 21 participating clubs are divided into three groups with seven teams each. Within the groups, everyone plays against everyone, at home and away. The top five in each group and the top sixth in the table qualify for the round of 16 playoffs. The compilation of the matches in the round of 16 is based on the table status of the preliminary round. There is one home and one away game. The winners of the round of 16 qualify for the quarter-finals and its winners in turn for the Final Four tournament, which is organized by one of the qualified clubs.
