Gabriele Wolfslast
Gabriele Wolfslast (* 1954 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German law scholar and former university professor.
life and work
After graduating from high school in Essen in 1974, Wolfslast began studying law at the University of Göttingen in the same year . She completed this in 1980 in Göttingen with the first state examination in law. In 1984 she graduated from the university as a doctor of psychotherapy within the limits of the law. iur. PhD. In 1993 she also completed her habilitation in Göttingen and received the Venia legendi for the subjects of criminal law and criminal procedural law. After holding a professorship at the University of Munich , she took up the professorship for criminal law, criminal procedural law and secondary areas of criminal law at the University of Rostock in 1994 . In 1998 Wolfslast switched to the full chair for criminal law and criminal procedural law at the University of Giessen , which she held until her retirement in 2011. From 2004 to 2006 she was Dean of the Law Faculty of the University of Giessen.
Wolfslast's research focuses primarily on medical criminal law, in particular with regard to its ethical principles and bioethics. She was and is a member of various ethics committees, including at the Universities of Rostock and Gießen and at the Federal Ministry of Health .
