Gabriele de 'Gabrielli (* 1445 in Fano , Italy , † November 5, 1511 in Rome ) was a cardinal of the Catholic Church .

Life

Already under Pope Alexander VI. active as apostolic protonotary , he worked as mediator for Cardinal Della Rovere when he was in exile in France and had fallen out with the Pope. Appointed Bishop of Urbino on March 27, 1504 and enthroned there in 1505, he remained in Rome as papal secretary.

Also Commendatabbot of S. Salvatore in Perugia and S. Leonardo in Fermo , Pope Julius II created him cardinal deacon on December 1, 1505 , which he published on December 12, 1505 and assigned him the title diaconia of Sant'Agata on December 17, 1505 in Subura too. Appointed cardinal priest of Santa Prassede on December 11, 1507 , he also retained the title diaconia of S. Agata. Appointed legate of Perugia, he gave up this position a short time later due to his poor health and returned to Rome.

Gabriele de 'Gabrielli died on November 5, 1511 in the Apostolic Palace .
