Gabrielle Sed-Rajna

Gabrielle Sed-Rajna (born July 6, 1927 in Budapest ) is a French art historian . She is considered the “ grande dame ” of Jewish art history.

biography

Gabrielle Sed-Rajna came to Paris in 1948. In 1987 she became director of the Hebrew department of the Institut de Recherche et d'Histoire des Textes at the Center national de la recherche scientifique and taught at the École pratique des hautes études and at the Institut d'Etudes Juives ( Martin Buber Institute ) of the Université libre de Bruxelles .
