Gaetano Casanova

Gaetano Giuseppe Casanova (born April 2, 1697 in Parma , † December 18, 1733 in Venice ) was the alleged father of Giacomo Girolamo Casanova .

He worked in Venice as a dancer and actor. Here he met the shoemaker's daughter Giovanna Farussi , whom he married on February 2, 1724.

The couple had six children: Giacomo Girolamo (1725–1798), Francesco (1727–1803), Giovanni Battista (1730–1795), Faustina Maddalena (1731–1736), Maria Maddalena Antonia Stella (1732–1800), Gaetano Alvise ( 1734-1783).
