Gaiman is the capital of the Gaiman department of the same name in the Chubut Province in southern Argentina . The place is 15 kilometers west of Trelew in the lower valley of the Río Chubut . In the classification of municipalities in the province of Chubut, Gaiman is classified as a municipality (Municipio) of the 1st category.
history
The place was founded in 1874.
Tourism and attractions
In Gaiman, the tradition of the Casas de Té Galés (Welsh tea houses) has been preserved, which is frequented by locals and tourists alike. The tea is accompanied by pastries made according to Welsh recipes, such as the torta negra galesa .
