Gaius Valerius Flaccus was a late Republic Roman politician .

Probably 96 BC He was praetor urbanus . 93 BC He was sent to Spain as consul while he was still in office in order to put down a revolt of the Celtiberians , which made him proconsul in the following year 92 BC. Chr. Succeeded. His governorship in Spain probably lasted until 81 BC. From about the mid-80s he also administered the province of Gallia Transalpina . 81 or 80 BC After joining the dictator Sulla , he celebrated a triumph over the Celtiberians and Gauls.
