Galatasaray Square

The Galatasaray Square ( Turkish Galatasaray Meydanı ) is a square in Istanbul 's Beyoğlu district in Turkey . It is located on İstiklâl Caddesi about halfway between Tünel Square and Taksim Square .

The most prominent building on the square is the famous Istanbul elite school Galatasaray Lisesi . The British Consulate and the Goethe Institute are in the immediate vicinity .

Galatasaray Square is regularly the scene of political demonstrations such as B. those of the Saturday mothers who have been holding a rally every Saturday since 2009 on Galatasaray Square.
