Nueve (formerly Galavision ) is a European offshoot of the Mexican television channel of the same name, which broadcasts in Spanish. Galavision is an entertainment program. The main focus is on talk shows, shows and series, especially telenovelas. The programs come almost entirely from Mexican production by the mother station.

On September 1, 1993, Galavision began broadcasting its 24-hour European program on Astra 1C uncoded and thus also achieved a certain degree of popularity in Germany. In the course of the digitization of television, analogue broadcasting was restricted as early as August 1997. Galavision only occupied the previous transponder in the mornings and midday hours and at the end of 1997 completely ended analogue broadcasting. This was preceded by the digitization of the Spanish-language programs of Sogecable Spain, which had also been broadcast analogously on Astra . Galavision was the last analogue broadcast Spanish-language channel on the ASTRA satellite system 19.2 degrees East.

Since then, the program has only been broadcast digitally.

Most recently, the European version of Galavision was encoded and broadcast on the Spanish pay-TV platform Digital + España and Canal + .

The Mexican version of the station began broadcasting on September 1, 1968.
