The Galgenberg Tunnel is a railway tunnel on the Bruck an der Mur – Leoben railway in Austria.
The connection between the Rudolfsbahn and the Südbahn is established via the Murtal, where there are several railway lines from Bruck an der Mur via Leoben to St. Michael.
Part of this route, a wing route of the Rudolfsbahn, led via the district of Göss to Leoben. This route was replaced in 1998 by the 5460 m long Galgenberg Tunnel. The section from the Leoben 2 junction to Leoben Göss was permanently closed on December 9, 2012 and was then used to park goods wagons that were temporarily not required. In 2018 the route was sold to the city of Leoben and dismantled, in 2019 a cycle path was built on the route between Göss station and Hinterberg.
In the south-west, the Annabergtunnel joins after approx. 300 m .
